They decided to use Sensata | Newall encoders, when linear encoder replacements are required, as part of the retrofit package. Sensata | Newall’s Linear Encoders were specifically designed to meet the strenuous demands of the press brake industry.
The unique design of the single end flexible mounting system offers 2 primary advantages: the first advantage, fast and efficient installation in the field; second, due to its design, these linear encoders can withstand any distortion of the press brake frame due to “stretch,” making it much more tolerant than other linear encoder technologies.
