Our Approach

The Foundation’s philanthropic programs build community partnerships, raise funds and distribute grants to provide support to nonprofits across the U.S. The Sensata Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by Foundation Officers.

The Foundation's giving programs include:
  • Annual grant program
  • Employee matching gift program
  • Disaster relief
The Sensata Foundation was honored to support 41 agencies with $375,000 of funding during the 2023-2024 grant cycle. This included agencies in nine states across the country, providing support to the communities where Sensata Technologies’ employees live and work across the US.

Our Annual Grant Process

Every year, we invite U.S. nonprofit organizations based in communities where Sensata employees live and work to submit an application for a Sensata Foundation grant. The specific projects or programs that the grants support are aligned with the Foundation’s two focus areas: STEM Education (Primary and Secondary School) and Community Support. The grants, which are typically one-year awards, vary in size but generally range from $5,000 to $25,000.
